Talking Points: The Age Issue

  • With age comes wisdom and an understanding of the world and of how to get things done in Washington. And he has gotten things done.  He was recently ranked by historians as the 14th-best president while Donald Trump was last

  • President Biden has had one of the most accomplished administrations in the last three decades with major legislation on jobs, technology, climate change and the lowering of prescription drug costs. This list of accomplishments suggests vitality, not decline.

  • The world respects the US again because of the way President Biden has navigated complex international crises, including keeping NATO in lockstep with support for Ukraine against Russia.

  • Joe Biden’s values are my values. And my vote for president is bigger than the person. I am voting for the kind of America I want to live in.

  • Like it or not, our choice is between two old guys.  One who is engaged in the work of actually governing and addressing long neglected needs.  And one who is erratic, who has mistaken Obama for Biden, Nancy Pelosi for Nikki Haley and who has already shown his disregard for our democracy and freedoms.

  • We all wish we had younger candidates but we must make the right choice and defend our democracy from Donald Trump,  who has already threatened to destroy it. Our concerns this year must be protecting the ideals and freedoms we have all taken for granted and not the advancing age of the very man who will protect them.

  • If you are torn come election day, please consider this: You have a choice between an aging but decent man who loves and has served his country his entire life and a person almost the same age who has 91 felony counts against him and has already attempted to overturn the results of the last election. We must defend our democracy and our decency by voting for Joe Biden.
